Marcia L. Dyson is the President of M and M Dyson, LLC, an exclusive national and international consultancy in matters of business development, marketing, political strategies, and social responsibility. Her clients included former presidents, for-tune 500 companies, and African governments. Dyson is the founder of Women’s Global Institute Trade Bureau (WGITB), a newly launched, non-profit entity to en-hance the lives of women via “profitable and purposeful social engagement” and to help women grow their businesses via international trade.
Dyson has served as the first chief of staff for Rev. Jesse Jackson, Jr.’s Opera-tion Push International Trade Bureau. And, she served as the Public Information Officer (POI) for the Mayor's Office of Special Events for the City of Chicago, where she built bridges across the diverse 87 ethnic communities through cultural diplo-macy and world-class events. During her tenure Dyson was responsible was add-ing $1.4 billion to the city’s coffers.
Dyson was a top advisor and helped launch “Women’s Entrepreneur Day”, hosted at the United Nation to promote women in business in 144 countries. She created a global campaign for United Nation Women with Uber which would bene-fit over one million women and was presented during the UN Women’s CSW59/Beijing+ 20 platform.
Dyson on the public affairs advisory board for Coalition of Hope (COH)Foundation. COH is composed of active and retired global armed forces mili-tary personnel, an array of multinational medical personnel, and highly trained first responders. COH was vetted by the State Department and the Pentagon in Au-gust of 2022 to rescue Americans and Afghanis from Afghanistan.
All her work affords Dyson the opportunity to address the interlocking and converging interests and issues that define her vocation: global economy, gender inequality, cultural diplomacy, women equity, and, international affairs.
Dyson working on the several scripts for movies and documentaries. She is also working on two books: The World at My Door: Practicing Cultural-Political Di-plomacy and Irreverent: Memoir of a Grown Woman (St. Martin Press, Fall 2025).
