Victoria Vysotina

Dr. Vysotina is an experienced investor with portfolio management, risk management and sourcing expertise.  She has been a Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) and a de facto CIO for significant family offices after a decade long carrier in investment banking and capital markets.  Investment expertise include venture capital, private equity, real assets, private credit and marketable securities, both funds and direct investments.

Most recently Dr. Vysotina was a Managing Director and the Head of Investments for Morgan Stanley Family Office group (“MSFO”) than oversaw over $20bn in assets.  As the Head of a senior investment team, she was responsible for portfolio construction and risk management, investment sourcing, manager selection and client and prospect ongoing engagements.  Dr. Vysotina joined MSFO to build out the Investment Office after being the CIO for a single family office of a prominent entrepreneur with businesses in the banking, insurance, retail, healthcare and education.  Previously, she founded and ran a boutique Outsourced CIO advisory firm working with prominent families globally.

Prior to launching her advisory firm in 2011, she was with the Rockefeller Foundation as a Managing Director and a Portfolio Manager for the $1bn Hedge Fund and distressed-for-control Private Equity portfolio and a co-Manager for the Fixed Income, Portable Alpha and Long-only Equity portfolios. Dr. Vysotina was also a member of the Investment Committee with HSBC's Alternative Investment Group, a $40bn+ hedge fund platform.

She joined the investment community in 2005 after a decade long career on Wall Street in the Fixed Income divisions of Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley.  As a banker she worked in areas of structured credit, high yield and emerging markets, managing complex debt deals and distressed restructuring transactions, both sovereign and corporate globally.

Dr. Vysotina received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Emory University. She continues to be a passionate supporter of education and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) in New York. Given her extensive background in the investment industry, Dr. Vysotina both invests in and advises companies and asset managers, as well as speak at Emory and WashU Business Schools and industry conferences.
